This is one of my favorite objects to photograph again and again. The ever-awe-inspiring Andromeda Galaxy (Messier 31, NGC 224) is a spiral galaxy, much like our own Milky Way, that lies approximately 2.5 Million Light Years away. It is absolutely enormous at about twice the diameter of our own galaxy. It’s also the nearest real galaxy to us.
